Ben is not thinking before he speaks. Ben is now only looking out for the sake of Dylan and he is pushing everyone else to the side. He had no legit reason to not be friends to Alice so he came up with the sorry excuse that Dylan will be jealous. So what if she becomes jealous then hey that is her problem and if she can't accept Ben's friends then he should cut her loose.
