In Ben's shoes

At one time I was in Ben's shoes getting out of a relationship and jumping right back into one with a lot of baggage. I dated so many women and at the end of the day I wasn't happy with myself. I didn't see a future with none of the women I ran across and I couldn't take it anymore so, I decided to be single and get myself together. Ben needs to do the same thing. Rushing into a new relationship with a lot of baggage is not a smart decision and the only thing you are doing is hurting the other person having him or her thinking that they are in a serious relationship. Hopefully, Ben will back off of the new girl and live for himself for once and be single for awhile. If he continue to date his new girlfriend, he will only be making himself more frustrated than what he already is, because he is simply not happy and he is not ready for another relationship.

Life comes with the bad and good

At times life can be a bitch and become very difficult for some of us to handle. A lot of young people like myself can't find our identity right away, some of us do not know what we want to do in life, and some of us make crazy decisions that will come back and bite us in the ass later on. Just because you are dealing with some issues and you start to feel that life is not worth living doesn't mean to give up. Look at the characters on Secret Life for example, Amy and Ricky have different views on when to get married; Ben is exploring other things to deal with stress and hoping to find another girlfriend who will make him happy; Grace and Adrian are both having problems with dating men. At the end they all will be happy and comfortable with the decisions that will make. Life was not made to be easy, instead life was made to see what human beings are made of and how we will cope with things when they are not going our way.

You Live, You Learn

"Secret Life of an American Teenager" should help all the young people across the world to make decisons before action takes place. For example, before Ben started smoking, he should have thought to himself that this is not what I like to do and I will not benefit from this at all. But, with Ben just getting out of a marriage with Adrian and losing his first child, it was a stress relief for him, but as the show progresses, he will soon find out that he doesn't need marijuana to relieve stress. After a human being smokes marijuana or take another depressant, his or her life will still be same the next day, meaning nothing would have changed that quickly. That is why us as people live each day and learn new things that will help us in the future so, we will not make the same mistakes as we did in the past.

Finding Your Identity

In high school, you are there basically to find your identity. Some of the students do find who they really are whereas others do not find their identities until their college years. Ben is having the same problem as he is trying to find his own identity. At first, he was a good boy with feelings and cared about others' feelings, but now his personality has made a 360 u-turn. Since he met this new girl, he wants to try smoking marijuana. He is at a point in his life where he is trying to figure what he likes and dislikes. Everyone goes through it in life and it will either make or break you in a sense. Keep on watching the show and see if he will actually like smoking or will he start to hate it.

Amy leads by example

Amy leads by example on the show "Secret Life of an American Teenager" because, she is simply a parent. Most young women in today's society do not know the meaning of being a mother. I see young women dressing decent, but their children are looking like crap. I see young women fall in love with these no good men and forget about their children. I see young women having babies with men who will not step up to the plate and be a father. As for Amy, she has all of the tools to be a good mother. She spends time with her son and that is the most important element of being a parent. She does not have to worry about Ricky not helping her because, he does it because he knows his son is going to need him. Young women should take notes of how Amy is being a mother to her son and realize that it is not all about them anymore.

Ben and his new girl

Do you think Ben and his new girl will have a long lasting relationship? Is it ok to start doing new things after losing a baby and getting divorced? Do you think Ben is moving too fast with this new girl? Answer any of the questions the way you want to answer them. Remember that your opinion matters to me and you can be very open with whatever you have to say. To be honest, Ben doesn't look right smoking and it is funny to me. I can't get that image of him smoking out of my head. He is such a good boy and a nerd who should be strictly focused on school. The new girl is very attractive, but she is not a good influence on Ben since he has never smoked before and he shouldn't start now. At least Adrian didn't have him smoking.

Flat character

Adrian is what you call a flat character because, she only has one trait and that is she is still a hoe and have always been one. She does not know who she wants to be with and just goes back and forth to different guys. Her traits as a hoe are still the same from her days messing off with Ricky. It seems to me that she will not change for the better, but instead she is changing for the worse.

Favorite character

Who is your favorite character on the show? My favorite character on the show is Ricky because, he has matured a whole lot since he graduated out of high school and now he is focusing on his responsibilities as a parent and college student.
